A week that was

The second exploration well penetrated some oil and gas, a side-track well was drilled to prove enough resources to quickly develop the discovery. The sidetrack well reached final Total Depth on the fourth week of November and some tests were conducted. The result did not come in as expected and the well was plugged and abandoned a few days ago.
Last week there was not much activities that need my attention and I took a breather (a week off from work) to visit my beloved mother and relatives in Trengganu, armed with the knowledge that if everything goes as per plan, my third exploration well for 2011 will be drilled before middle of December.

Through my better half efforts I went to a masseur to relieve the nagging pain in my right shoulder only to find out that my right arm muscles has been twisted and the elbow was not in its proper place. This somehow threw my planning haywire as I need to get my arm massage every other day and those days coincided with the days I planned to be in Kuala Trengganu. I have to skip a few visits to my relatives places and also have to abandon my planned Kkalang Maras' visit (fortunately for me, I did not tell my blogger friend in Kkalang Maras of my intention to visit him);(

I did not plan to go off line.. somehow the massage thingy did not allow me sufficient time to properly visit my own blog.. least of all to go blogs hopping.. The other significant happening was birthdays celebration organized my niece for her two children.

The food and birthday cakes

How to get this thing to work?

When can we enjoy the food?

Ooh.. my fingers

At last the birthday boy got to cut the cake

Let me show you how it should be done!

Let me do it on behalf of birthday girl

Ain't we hungry?

Other than the curry puff, all food served were homemade...the birthday cakes were homebaked by my niece who children were the main actor and actress for the " belated birthday" celebration. For those who graced my house the other day. ...the kueh lapis Sarawak served then was also from her effort.

The above pictures were taken before the arrival of our neighbours who somehow shied away when the pictures were taken. When asked as to why they did not come earlier.. “Ah.. We felt a bit embarrassed lah” came the polite answer.

Although the celebration was planned to be conducted together during the daytime.. my grandniece was not very cooperative then and we end up conducting part of the celebration in the evening.. after her much needed sleep ;)

Cut it nicely

Slowly do it..

Let me help you.

Have a nice day

Nninot dearest,
Kami practiced massaging on each other.. Especially if it concerned small or not serious ailment.. I was aware of your predicament.. With many loved one to take care of.. To many tasks to handle..
Honestly I believed that sleeping early and waking up in the wee hours of the morning is more productive.. As Allah create night for us to rest.. But then again old habit die hard..
Whatever do take good care of yourself ma cheri..

Salam Jengok semula Ayoh Wang. It mus be a muscle-twisting kind of exploration Ayoh Wang!

Kids always enjoy birthday and that showed in their glowing faces.

What a shame! Just as well Ayah Wang. It has been CATS and dogs over here. If this keeps going P Duyong will disappear from the map of Terengganu!

You know, of course, burying your body in the sand of P Maras beach cures all body aches. You see, on the upper part of his beach is the salty water, but deep down we have minyak gaz. That is the secret that we keep to ourselves!

Cheqna dearest,
Luckly their mother has prepared 3 birthday cakes.. So the cake specifically meant for my grandniece was not cut and consumed during that eventful Friday afternoon.
The guests..we have our fill of chocolate cakes and the currently trendy layered cake.. My niece has been getting regular orders from her regular customers.
The offshore drilling work has been slowed down by the famous monsoon.. A breather of sort.. Healthwise everything other than the right arm, is Alhamdulillah.. Top form;).
Thank you for you kind concern.. May Allah bless you and yours with best of health and His bounty.

Thank you for coming back menjengok DrSam..back to back exploration driling work sure has taken it toll on this old coot.. but the muscle must has been twisted during my riding fall last Syaaban..;)).
The children wanted us parents to spend those two weekends in Dungun where they can have an open air meals and celebration.. After they could not extract a better holiday venues from us..;)).
P/s. next weekend might see us together again in Negeri Serambi Mekah.. The mothers missed their border shopping sprees ;((.

Abang Hassan dearest,
Cats and dogs! When I was there.. I did not recall of too much rain.. With the construction of the Kenyir Dam.. There has not been serious flood in P. Duyong..at least I did not recall any five feet deep flood we used to get before the said dam construction.
I recalled there was a neighbour in Kuala Dungun that treated her deteriorating muscle condition due to "stroke" using the salty sea water and burying part of her body in the sandy beach.. It came out good ..she can walk unlike before that treatment where she need somebody to push her on a wheelchair.
You have minyakgaz below that nice sandy beach!!!.. I believe it is time I brush up my petroleum geology ;))
mmm.. May be I should go back to Kkallang Maras and go prospecting for that minyakgaz.. Should enough minyakgaz be found.. Maybe I can take up Abang Hassan offer to help him.. There seems to be ample market for the minyakgaz especially near the festive season..
