Light-hearted day

I felt light-hearted this morning.. partly due to the fact that my better half has served ketupat pulut goreng (fried "glutinous rice in palas leaf") and serunding daging (meat floss bought from our Puan Zafar in Kerteh) for breakfast this morning. She has been toiling with daun palas since yesterday afternoon preparing our family favourite Trengganu fare.. ah never mind the cholesterol ;)

By the way, I heard from my Taiping friend today.. that Perak also have the same ketupat..

On reaching the office, I noticed a good friend (that I missed his presence :)) has came back to office after 3 weeks leave. We have a briefing on the drilling progress, then came the good news, our hydrocarbon gas sample has been analyzed and the corrosive carbon dioxide content found to be well below 10% . We expect that ample volume of gas that can be produced.. augurs well for our country’s electricity suppliers ;).
You probably have read that some of them have threaten to increase the electricity cost/tariff if we cannot meet their gas demand ;((

We will conduct some test soon and hopefully we can call it a day in 10 days time.

Like Ninot said.. It is time to smell the flowers.

P.s. The highlight of the day ..I contacted Ninot and we have a good chat .. and chatting with fellow blogger always make me more than light-hearted ;)

Have a good weekend..

Ayoh Wang, I see our dearest Pakcik has asked you to challenged me and CfS to row row row a boat to Pulau Duyung. He is upset I think that I have not made it to Terengganu yet! I suppose it is very obvious I was not on the varsity rowing team gliding down the Rideau River or the white waters of Ottawa.

Very gentlemeanly of you not to mention it.

Anyway, I did as you suggested and emailed Kak Puteri!

The ketupat palas looks SEDAP! Salam to your very nice other half!

Merci, mon ami :)

Cheqna,

I was just mentioning today to some very nice young men from Terengganu (I am sending 2 teams to India for a Business Plan Competition this month), I definitely want to go to Terengganu one day - sonner than later. So your invitation looks so tempting.

Dear Mamasita,
Is that Tanjung Lumpur in Kuantan? Haven't been back to Kuantan for a lifetime, and Tanjung Lumpur evokes some nostalgia somehow...

Ninot dearest,
Yes I got the feeling our dearest Pakcik would have loved all blogger who befriended him on his blog to make it to his place.. he was very surprised and very pleased even with my first un-informed surprised visit..
I could not say it is obvious that you are not in the rowing team.. some where I read you have been a gymnast of some repute ;).. looking at me now.. you would not have believed that I represented USM for 3 years and Petronas for over a year in Sepak Takraw.. masa tu ~60 kg ha ha ha..
Hope you will get the response you badly needed from Puteri.
My other half smile when I mentioned your salam.. and ask me to convey her salam to you ..

Noir dearest,
Today I have a lesson on dieting from my Taiping friend.. He told me the importance of reduction of food intake especially the rice.. he compare it to Ramadhan’s fasting that only the last week of Ramadhan that we lose some weight because our bodies first reaction to fasting or dieting is resist the new habit or life style.. only persistence will produced required result..
Thank you for yous kind comment and wishes.
May you have a perfect weekend Sir!

Huda dearest
Ah so nice to have all the good things in close vicinity of your door step.. Sedap mungkin because we used much thicker santan than those who sell.. but then kurang cholesterol for you ;)

Ninot dear,
Yes Tanjung Lumpur is very near to Kuantan.. banyak makanan orang Trengganu disana.. kerupok lekor, Laksam, nasi dagang.. banyak fishermen Trengganu bermastautin di sana.. have a few relatives and friends there myself ;)
