Feeling Unappreciated?

Thank to Luke Teoh, a good friend from one of group-email, who sent the mail below. Pictures are from Mr. Google. Shared here to lift up your spirit should you be affected by those uninspiring Monday Blues..

Things Got You Down? Well Then, Consider These:

In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 am, regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the super natural. No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 AM Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents.

The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 AM all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits.

Just when the clock struck 11:00, Pookie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner.

Still Having a Bad Day?
The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000.00. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

Still think you are having a Bad Day?
A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman.

Are You OK Now? - No?
Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

What? STILL having a Bad Day?
A Dumb terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'Return to Sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb; he opened it and was blown to bits.

There now, Feeling Better?

Have a fabulous productive days ahead..

Ha ha ha.
I showed this post to my neighbour at the work place and we have a good laugh at both pictures..
I do not normally suffer from Monday blues and do not have the heart to harm any felines for the past 50+ years.. (dulu masa kecil adalah tago kucing dan ayam (dengan anak batu, I was told) yang mengacau ayoh wang semasa tengoh kusyuk menegung)..
May Alah give us courage and facilities to do good deed to all his creations.

I pity the two animal activists.

We do feel unappreciated from time to time. And Monday blues. And some times, just simply bored. It is a feeling we must try to overcome early before it overcomes us and can be paralyzing, on our mood, body and possibly even our soul. I experience it rather always and I pray (baca ayat Qur'an) to remove it and keep it away.

thank you Ayoh wang. Those anecdotes really made my day. However I am not really sure these days if there is such a thing as Monday blues anymore. This weird behavior can be seen in fact in any days withing a week itself - especially during end of each month before salary, promotion and performance evaluation exercise :)

senyum sokmo ayoh wang!

Hi Wan Sharif, arhaaaa ha ha. I love these! You're great!
I have always loved people with a lively humour.
Our life is not a dress rehearsal. We only get to play one round.

And nothings brings out happiness like seeing the sun after few days rain is laughter.
And people who have a sense of humour, can laugh when things go bad or life's hiccups, as well laugh at himself or herself will live long.
As laughter exercises 76 of our face muscles. Keeps you looking young...

Have fun, and keep well. Lee.

When I post this entry, I was kind of hope that the story about the two animal activists is just an invention.
Yes we can not let the negative feeling to overwhelm us. If our mind is a garden.. those negative feeling would be like toxic plant that if allowed to grow indescriminately will destroy the whole garden
Yes for us there is alway zikr, prayer and solat for if I remember it correctly there is a verse in The Book that mean "Remember, it is only by remembering Allah , that the mind/heart can be at peace".
May Allah show us the true path.

Salam DrSam,
There are still a lot of people that suffer 'Monday blues' especially after very busy weekend ..kenduris, over-extended mahjong/ terup keling/gin rummy sessions, family visits, visiting in-laws and outlaws, F1, EPL to name a few..
The one that you quote may be related to the end of the month and performance review blues.. normally suffered by those who spend more than what they earned and also for over-ambitious few. ;)))
Like Uncle Lee said laughter/smile exercise our faces muscles => that will eventually keeps us looking young..
May you have a blessed day..
